This is done through an integrated strategy of capturing and removing GHGs from the atmosphere using Silvicultural (tree) sequestration, Aquacultural (marine) sequestration, Geological (sub-surface) sequestration, Terrestrial (land) sequestration. These techniques are reinforced by novel strategies for reducing the emission of additional GHGs into the atmosphere. This is achieved by exploiting alternative renewable energy sources such as the sun, wind, biomass and waves which produce either little or no GHGs. GHGs like carbon dioxide and methane trap the sun’s heat in the atmosphere and prevent it from being radiated back out into space with the result that the world’s average temperature inexorably climbs upwards.
